Here's a positive point upon which to base the selling of Alberta's Oilsands. It's as if there occured (several thousand years ago) a huge oil spill. Now we come along and embark on a major project(s) designed to remove the oil from the soil/sand. This is a major environmental clean-up operation. The fact that we are able to then sell the oil we remove from the soil/sand is beside the point and to the benefit of our entire country and by extension other countries like the U.S. that choose to buy it.
