About the civic neglect of MCD, I had published an Article 8 months back and reinserted the same in several portals of considerable repute but no action has been taken so far to redress the grievance. MCD is a cesspool of corruption with a Rhinoceros skin and they are least bothered about the woes of citizens. My complaint was that a road has not been laid inside DDA colony near the cluster of MIG flat Nos. 600 to 640 eversince the year 1997 and during monsoon season the whole area turns into a lagoon. Residents in knee deep water wade through the pond to reach their flats. This is the only DDA colony without a boundary wall as traders have opposed the erection of wall due to commercialisation of residential flats as a result of which burglaries and auto thefts are a regular feature. The traders have filed a writ petition in Delhi High Court opposing the construction of the wall and it was dismissed long back. The foundation stone for the construction of the wall was laid by none other than the Supercop Mrs Kiran Bedi, IPS in 1992 and even the large granite stone with the inscription is missing now. Sector-8 is the gateway of Rohini which has the dubious distinction of the largest residential colony in Asia.
