PSU Banks lack efficency.The staff does not comes out of mentality that they've a govt. job & the experience of dealing with PSU Banks is very different, when u compare with Pvt.sector banks.Also the staff age factor is major in PSU banks & the Bank employee unions also interfer in day to day functioning of PSU banks.The ever now & then strikes of PSU Banks have created the bad image among the general public.I think there should be some steps taken to prevent these strikes in PSU banks, as they come under essential services. PSU Banks should remember the Mantra "Perform or Perish". Some of the PSU banks can become world class, but they have to under go a lot of change. Thanks.
