Nehruvian model was the best model for those times - putting in the best of public and private enterprise. Any ideology or belief or process has to change with the times. If the powers that came in after Nehru did not have the sense to update the approach according to the needs of the 70s and 80s than that is their fault and not Nehru's. You are just harping on a 2 decade old fad of blaming Nehru and socialism.
