This is utter nonsense. I have a question for the sub-inspector and one for Mr.Balakrishnan.
1. So if the "suspects" are using Yahoo!, is the sub-inspector going to call up Terry Semel in Sunnyvale, California ? Or if they are using Gmail, is he going to call up Larry Page in Mountain View ? I can guess the answer. So, does that mean for privacy, Indians should stop using rediffmail ?
2. One question for Mr. Balakrishnan. In the case where such information is given to the "authorities", does rediff have a written policy where it is required to inform the user that this has taken place ?
