Democracy sucks, esp in rural India.
by sp.al.meyyappan on Apr 05, 2006 10:28 AM

Many Indians misuse democracy. Indians worked better under British rule than under democracy. In colonial times many railways were built. In free India, only one railway has been built - Konkan railway. Why? Bcos, democracy sucks. The government official will do whatever he wants, even all the wrong things, and he can't be fired from his job. Only Lord Yama can take away the job from a government servant. Even the PM can't fire a corrupt government servant. Actually they shouldn't be called government servants. They should be called "Kings in their own right". There are still some places in India where the Congress Party has never lost a seat eg. Andamans, Belllary, etc. For staying in power forever in these areas, has the Congress Party done anything for these loyal voters? The Andamans & the Bellary region are amongst the most backward areas in India. Everyone knows Laloo is corrupt. State departments didn't function in Bihar. Bihar police force was like a private goondas for Laloo. Is this how democracy works? People should be empowered in a democracy. Goondas like Laloo should be out of power in a democracy. Democracy should mean people's power. Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan! Jai Hind!!
