How we can cut oil import costs
by labrea on Mar 06, 2006 09:39 PM

Neither of the two solutions seems likely to be adopted, seeing that each nation has its own agenda and buying powers. India's best bet would be creating new fuel sources for transportion: elctric, biomass, hydrogen, etc, while devising eco-friendly technologies for maximizing her abundant but low-qaulity coal resources, including coal-bed methane gas, in addition to harnessing wind, solar, wave etc for power generation. This will need dedication and will on the part of govt, but which at present does not seem a reality.
