airports

dear sir ,

it is a false notion that the public sector cannot build world class infrastructure. As a professional in India, my experience and observation is that for the last 4 decades it is the companies that are backed by the public sector that have done the nation proud, when it comes to infrastructure.

Look at the compaies like BHEL, NTPC, Railways, KRCL, IPCL, EIL, NPC, DRDO, DRL, HAL, FACT-FEDO, IRE, UPSBC, Jessop....and so on..the list is endless.

All these above mentioned companies have a major role to play in the development of our country.

There is underperformance in some sectors, true. but the problem lies in continuous political interference in the day to day running of these companies, largely post Indira Gandhi era.

Given the right people at the helm, good team to back them, the professional freedom to perform, these companies are virtual gold mines waiting to be tapped. With their vast resources, experience, and talent pool; there is very little help that needs to be imported and that too at a premium.
