Best time of India would only arrive when we Indians as a nation could innovate.
Exclusivity (IITans....IITans....and IITians) is killing India; the old colonial coolie attitude; where we give credit to people who does so and so in a foreign land and some of these coolies happen to be from IITs.
Innovation is the only way a country could reach the top echelon. And most of the great US innovators didn't go to so called exclusive "IVY" schools, for example; innovators are born in the garage.
"Boy, you got to go to IIT or IIM or ICS"--mantra that is being taught by the whole society is killing the very thing a nation needs: "inquisitive mind" that allows kids to think independently.
Kids are made so exam-centric, ace-scoring machines that I don't see how we are going to make INDIA--a #1 country?
At present Indian educated class is at best "Who could do good home assignment given by first world executives"--GOOD JOB KID! Now Grow up!
Why write articles that glorifies the saga over and over again! Time would be better spent if you could encourage your neibhor's kid "NOT TO GO TO IIT" and follow the passion--may be fixing a broken electronic toy?!
