Ban on those drinks is justified due to the following: In addition to pesticide residues which are hazardous, those contain unhealthy levels of sugar & stimulant similar to Caffiene. Those drinks are highly acidic and are known to harm teeth and bones. Their production drains ground water at the manufacturing site in Kerala to a degree that dried up the wells in the villages around. Their nutritional value is nil and cost to benifit ratio is too high.It is time that we produce drinks that are healthy and promote welfare of the people around.
