i agree, the system of caste-based reservations has failed, and it has outlived its' purpose. the objective ought to be to empower the economically-backward regardless of their community of origin or religion, as money is the ultimate reality today. today reservations are only a political tool, and only lip-service is paid to the economic backwardness of the intended beneficiaries of this system. it is a crime to deny a person opportunities for education based on his status in the caste-system.
