For long there was a talk about brain drain to the west. Students going to the west for higher studies and most never return and they think a hundred times even if they want to. Now this brain drain was considered due to better educational facilities in the west. Now since India is also catching up with regards to infrastructure, the government feels it should not retard the process of brain drain by reserving jobs in private sector. So now a student will leave the country because someone who is lesser qualified will get his job! By reserving seats in elite institutions, he will leave the country even before he joins a job. The west will be happier. They get the best of the talent with no effort. Lets ask the politicians if they will give up their seat to their rival even if he has won by a comfortable margin just because the rival is from a weaker society? So if the cabinet minister wins by a hansome margin, he should giveup his seat to his rival if he is a BC or an SC or thousands of other backward sections created by the government. This is true, the governments since independance failed miserably. Their future plans always failed. Let it be Pakistan or reservations.
