India churns out huge number of techies coz they start studying early in age. By the age American kids read ABC, indian kids are doing multiply and division. American kids are too slow to be introduced to education, coz by the time they start studying, they also know to revolt against studies. Also the american system is too lenient. Teachers cannot discipline a child (sometimes even parents cannot). Thats why indian kids thump am-kids in the bee-contests.
why americans are good in creativity, innovation but indians arent? The answer is simple, the americans are well-off basically (evenif you're unemployed, govt provides soc-sec) and so can take risks. They are materialistically well off too. For eg, how many world-class made-in-india cameras have you seen (answer=0)? in india, you've to bribe the cow to milk.
if america adopts the indian idea of starting-off kids early into school, it will see a tremendous improvement in education. There is a simple saying: "What you dont learn at 5, you wont learn at 50". Thats the mantra.
