A singer earns Rs 10,00o and above for a song.
A music director earns a few lakhs.
The producer ofcourse earns a huge amount.
What about the commoner ?
Did any one think about them.

In the US a normal employee is paid 25 to 30 $ per hour of work. If he wants to buy a cassette or a video all he got to spend is a very few dollars.
But it is not the same in India. The rich keep growing and the poor / middle class are stagnating.
On top of that. Music softwares..I clicked a link from an antipiracy site to enter this forum.
In India..music software dealers and other hardware dealers charge a bomb. A Yamaha speaker called MSP 5. The original price of that is 12,000 Rupees. These dealers import these speakers in bulk and sell a piece for 28,000 Rupees. They say the rest is Tax..
I myself being an engineer from the audio Industry donot want to reveal the so called dealers names..Ofcourse I hear that a few hardware dealers have contacts with the grey markets too. And one of such software dealer comes to my office and gives me a copy of an assosiations news letter..stop piracy..!!!
This is just a promo for these peoples growth..If you check the dealers pc i bet his windows version is fake
