Indian Music Industry.....
by Gokul on Sep 05, 2005 01:32 PM

Hi,

I have always loved and really admired articles on rediff. But to my suprise the article on Indian Music Industry was a big disappointment. The topic was good...no doubts... but the content and the people who spoke on the topic were the problem. Indian Music Industry is just not Bollywood and Pop albums, even Tamil, telugu, malayalam, kannada, and other languages are part of the industry. I also strongly feel that one should take opinion from experienced music directors like Ilayaraja, AR Rahman and singers like S.P Balasubramaniam, Chitra, Asha Bhonsle who have won national awards on a number of occasions. Yes, the industry is facing problems because of piracy and various other reasons but get facts from experienced people who have been in the industry for long.

Music will never die but will always rule!!!!

Regards

Gokul
