Gowda Vs Murthy!!! Asking questions is always right!!!
by LG on Oct 28, 2005 10:17 PM

I am a Bangalorean presently living in the US. I was amazed by the interest this subject generated!!! In contrast I read another articles written on rediff about downplaying of India's relief efforts in J and K, also about the terrorists making use of this situation and the blatant arrogance displayed by Pakistan and it's Rulers in dictating and demanding the terms by which India should give them help. The response to these articles was a trickle compared to the deluge i see presently.
The point is IT IS NOT A CRIME TO QUESTION THE MODALITIES OF GOVERNMENT ALLOTMENT BY ANYBODY. Mr.Gowda is probably doing what every citizen should do. I am sure that there is a political point that he is trying to score, but one should not forget that the world bank in it's progress report had given adismal performance record to the outgoing Government about corruption and Infosys was the biggest beneficiary of the government support among IT Companies. There is old saying that 'There is no smoke without fire'. So we should look for the fire.
There was no reason for Mr.Murthy to resign if he did make contributions to BIAL. Is there a component of guilt associated.
Jai Hind
