is the tax hike worth paying?

The finance minister levies tax on par or more with western countries, but anybody who pays the tax is not feeling he gets not even 1/10th of facilities, infrastructure available in other countries.
In such a case why additional taxes? Will it not be a good idea to widen the existing tax base?
Where the collected tax goes? the roads are as filthier as ever and the we dont get drinking water. So far in the history after independance, they say, so many billions of dollars are invested in the infrastrure. But I fail to see the quality of these infrastructure. This means all the FM feels they tax more so that they can go for big Budget plan outlays and big swindling
