Kerala

The article touches just the surface. The fact is that that the state is worse than Bihar or Jharkhand. Only difference being that that what would be unreasonable or illegal in Bihar & elsewhere has the legal sanction in Kerala. How many people know the custom of "ATTIMARI"? It means that if your luggage/goods are transported by a powered vehicle, the neighborhood roudies will have to be paid "loading/unloading porter charges" (ranging from 1000+) as decided by them, even if you unload the goods yourself?
In some places, these charges are fixed by the Labour Dept.and have to be paid to the roudies even if you are unloading the vehicle yourself!
Then take the recent case where a couple was fined Rs.2000/- by temple authorities because their newborn baby wet himself inside the temple!
Anyone who says Bihar & other states are lawless should be sent to Kerala!
