India a giant economy-Boon/Bane
by G.Sathyanarayana on Jan 21, 2005 03:09 PM

India is poised to grow to giant economy. However the growth will be consumption driven, which is not a reflection of conscious driven development and corresponding human well being of the country's populace. This means a disorderly society sewed with growth and development of random nature when applied to measure the growth and development of country's population in terms of informed choice of growth and development pattern and the parameters that helped the growth and development of the context subject(s).
Hence, if India's leap to become a giant economy (by the year 2035) is certain, it is high time that a professional and ethical governance for the country will be in place, which ensures 100+ crores population will not lead to a scenario where body bags/human suffering and misery do not become a matter of fact and cilly attributes to think or act about.
