I was sitting in a meeting in Malaysia, the cellphone was in vibratory mode, suddenly it starts trrrr trrrr, sir I'm calling from ----bank, our bank is offering you a loan of.............blah...blah , what will you say? If you are polite enough, I'm in a meeting, Thanks or ---- you.
A sweet lady calls, sir, if you have some outstanding payment, our bank is offering an interest free transfer and you can pay it in 3 months.
I replied, I'm using card from your bank and recently all purchase have been made using your card only.
Again there is a question, when should I call you?
I said, it'll be useful only when I have outstanding payment on my other card?
One more question, will next month be OK?
How can I say, I'm happy with your card and prefer to use it all time. OK sir I'll call you next month.
Thank you
Many of these telemarketing people don't have the clarity of the purpose of calling anybody, they are simply not bothered where are you and what are you doing at that point of time, they'll just start conveying their message.
Telemarketing should be strictly banned on mobile phones, residence phone etc. where they have direct access to you.
