Broadband - hidden costs!!
by Madhu Chawla on Aug 30, 2005 10:50 AM

Your advertising is fine but you are not doing any good service to public if you are not giving full facts about these service providers. e.g. the Tri-band of MTNL has an unwritten rider to its charges. If you are getting a connection in the middle of a month, you are charged for the whole month, upto 25-28 days extra. And the reason given by their GM, Mr. Dutt and Chief Accts Officer, Mr. Pal is that they have not stabilised their policies to charge proportionately for the billing cycle. And they are passing the buck to each other for taking a decision. Meanwhile, they all say, they are helpless and you have to bear the excess charges, though admittedly unfair.
