We need good buildings but with caution
by avidnewsreader on Apr 29, 2005 02:50 PM

The author makes a point when he says that we have to come out of the PWD/Traditional architecture mindset. To give Indian metropolies a new look ,we indeed need structures that give an international look. But having the same tall steel/glass/cement structures everywhere in the world breeds montony and is also boring.Architects must be asked to create new structures which are both visually pleasing and environmentally sustainable.Indian city skyline should be distinct from the rest of the developed world.
