Important decisions that changed India
by sundararajan on Aug 15, 2007 12:19 PM

Well said, But Mr. Subramanyan has forgotten one of the most important decisions taken by our Late PM Rajiv Gandhi. He is the one, alongwith his advisor Sam Pitroda, who decided to go for latest technology than import outdated or discarded technology just because it was available cheaper. IF INDIA IS ENJOYING THE FRUITS OF IT BOOM, ALL INDIANS HAVE TO GIVE THE CREDIT TO RAJIV GANDHI. UNFORTUNATELY WE HAVE NO RAJIV GANDHIS AND HENCE WE HAVE EVERYTHING TO PRIVATE & MNCs, ACCEPTING THE NAKED TRUTH THAT GOVERNMENT CAN NOT DO IT. DO WE HAVE ANY RESPECT FOR MAHATMA GANDHI OR RAJIV GANDHI?
