Mahatma Gandhi was too nice a person to lead and direct the common men who diversed in a million ways. I wish Mahatma Gandhi had hardened a bit. When Muslim league intended a seperate state, it was their responsibility to take the entire muslims to the newly formed state of pakistan. Unfortunately ,the congress and its leaders failed to prevent the partition or to work out the partition fully.
Jinnah cheated the Muslims who remained back India by not providing them shelter in Pakistan. Ironically the Indian muslims are better off than the pakistani muslims, 50% of them live under poverty and 72% of them are illiterates.
