Boosting of % even though paying less
by Joshy Raj on May 26, 2008 09:48 AM

Hi Techies,

I have been working in a programming support company for the past one and a half year.I started with a very meagre payscale. But I didn't complained understanding the fact that I was a fresher that time. But the company promised a pay hike in 6 months in paper and adds two months to it in reality. So i got 2 hikes.I worked really hard, sincierely hard, and at the end of 8th month I got a review report with a score above 8 out of 10.Only thing was not much was the hike.I didn't complained then. But the same thing repeated after another 8 months(6 months according to company). This time rushed into the managers cabin and asked for an explanation. He spoke beautifully to believe me that I am paid immensely. His point was percentage. He told me that initially i got 30 % hike and after the second I got 50 % but he cleverly hide the fact that my initial salary was one of the lowest. He used to throw this theory whenever an unsatisfied employee comes for explanation. Also at times he will also remind us about the leaves taken.Actually we get only 12 casual leaves an year and a maximum of 12 medical leaves. These casual leaves can be taken only on the reasons they put in their combo box in the leave application form.In short most of the leaves are put there in a way for them to dissaprove. And after all this manager guy(i m not sure i can call him as a manager) always takes leaves according to his will.He manages himself to get good money.Rich getting richer,Poor getting poorer.
