RE:Women's Special
by Swathie on Mar 06, 2008 05:23 PM

I think to a large extent you have hit on the target. Most of these so called "educated women" want rights for women but have only misused these rights given to them. Being a woman myself I can talk of the previlegas we have at home, education, jobs and promotions. Being a woman it is easier to get a job or promotion with a lot less effort than men.

The real needy women are not getting help due the abuse and misuse bring propagated by "educated women". The draconian dowry laws were made to help dowry abuse victims but what has happened? Every year 70,000 false dowry cases are filed by "educated women". After 10 years in criminal courts with thorough investigation they are found false cases filed for monetary extortion. But damage done already- Jobs lost, health ruined, reputation soiled, sisters amd mothers mentally traumatized having wrongly jailed.

About 80,000 married men commit suicide every year unable to bear this abuse. More than one lakh innocent women have to go to jail due to these criminal and so called "educated women".

Attending one of the women press conferences like the one we organized yesterday in hyderabad will be a revelation to see the plight of mothers and sisters in india.

Are mothers and sisters not women?
