Drunk-driving by youngsters
by HariOm Chawla on Jun 17, 2008 01:31 PM

Both parents as well society have to play their proper role to prevent this menace. Drinking age should officially be reduced to 18 so that the teenagers do not have to take liquor in hding. They should be encouraged to drink at home (with father, if he drinks) instead going with friends to far away bars for the sole purpose of drinking. Of course, friends should meet and enjoy picnics, but drinking should cease to be the motive for going out.

Police paterolling and checking, particular during night hours, should be more visible to deter drunk drivers.
