Your advices are well taken, But why not advice Govt and politicians also who are also “supposed” not expected to contribute to nations prosperity AI have a car and started using scooter everyday for last 2 months.
I have a a very simple suggestion which might lead to some miniscule saving of precious oil. 1. Synchronization of all signals as motorist stand for even one minute and waste precious oil. This way the saving across the country could run millions of barrel in a day ( Sorry it is only a guess) 2. Maintain roads ( without the corruptions this is definitely possible ) and the motorist will not apply unnecessary brakes and clutches, to avoid the pothole sorry it should be called ponds , which will also help in saving some precious oil. 3. To make speed barkers more meaningful and not painful again can save some fuel.
There can hundreds of such small things which greedy politicians can do, like protocol cars to be dismantled, blockade of roads for VIP movements, Finishing the road projects and flyovers so traffic jams can be avoided etc instead of only preaching
