Sathyam Vada, Dharmam Chara. The Guru guides his desciple with the first two essential aspects of Learning. Sathyam i.e. Truth is very powerful. Truth therefore is God, the Guru teaches his Sishya. Lead a Moral life -Guru teaches the student to practice Dharma. When world changes, practice changes there will be changes in the Dharma. For the present Kali Yuga a simplified way of Dharma has been laid down by the Rishis. Sage Veda Vyasa tops the Sages. Through him the practice and propogation of Vedic and Dharmic life continues. This Poornima is devoted to this sage Vysa and is termed as Vyasa Poornima. Ahimsa is part of the Rajayoga system. Ahimsa is also observed strictly by the Saints by remaining at one location for the next four months termed as Chaathurmaasyam. Dharma,Artha, Kaama and Moksha are the four aims of human beings. The Guru gudies the Sishya to attain the last and important aim i.e. Mokshna. For the present physical body you get a Guru with a physical body. Till the soul attains Moksha the Guru guides his Sishya through several of his births.
This link continues till the Sishya attains Moksha and this is the Guru Sishya Bandha -connection.
