i had a similar experience. My clients from Dublin were here in Chennai and we were at one of the popular dance floors. To my surprise i was disallowed by the staff from joining the Irish. On demanding the reason, the guy said he was instructed that no 'Indian' should be allowed to join the whites. On the other hand, the treatment I recieve in lands of whites is on par with what the whites recieve. It is in our own land we face this problem. It is not surprising how much respect a white foreigner would have for we Indians when he/she finds the respect our ppl have for fellow Indians. The root problem is much beyond the scope of this discussion forum in Rediff. It is evident in every facet of the daily lives of we Indians.
