Black & white
by Jobin V on Jan 03, 2008 12:18 AM

Well written article.

But the reasons for this discrimination points to ourselves. Indians, generally do not have love for their country - Or they do not care. The public behaviour of the majority of Indians is the reason why Indians get abused or discriminated - Even in our country. I have seen Indians fighting for a place near the conveyor belt @ airport, Littering food even in I AC compartments, Spitting everywhere they could. I can afford to generalise, because of a good majority is not doing this, India, would be a better place to live in. Everyone who have visited europe or even Thailand might have felt the increasing tendency to ignore Indian tourists.

Saying all this, I refuse to blame others - The society manifests the character of the majority. We have to live on with it, and the majority have to change. Tomorrows majority will learn from todays elders - sad - It is todays elders who are the worst.

But I still prefer to be in India - If everyone loves the country, and have a minimum consideration to the public property and etiquettes, all these can change - But..

Everyone wants to have a job abroad at the next possible moment. And they are willing to take the abuse the "whites" shower upon them - I dont want to be one of them. I prefer the littered roads of India than any foreign land.
