quitting smoking
by darshan kapadia on Aug 10, 2008 01:17 PM

there are many therapies and medications in the market that help smokers quit the habit.also there are many organisations in india that help habitual smokers quit the habit.but the best way would be banning tabacco and make the farming of the crop illegal, but there is also the issue of farmers and the tabacco lobbies(read corporate companies), but if the govt and polity has the guts to give a loan waiver of 60000 crore rupees to the affected farmers, surely it can come out with a package for the industry and tabacco farmers.ITC a ciggerete manufacturing company has diversified in to garments and FMGC and other products and services, maybe the people in the company know that if and when something like a ban or anything like that will be proposed atleast they have other areas intrest.
if tabacco is not available then its not going to be sold. so instead of thinking of coming up with a cure why dont we try to prevent it. similar to the sayin prevention is better than cure.
