Yes, if you can still remain only that, best friends, irrespective of your legal status as spouses. We have successfully experimented with that, we became friends first, and married, but vowed to remain each other's friend.This has kept the warmth alive and openness too. I think, a minimum of 6 months of courtship before wedding helps in arranged marriage situation,when you can strike friendship, before becoming spouses.
