Yes, and their passion was money. Most of them anyway. If Bill Gates was passionate about computer science, he would have stayed in Harvard, maybe done a PhD and become a university professor (in the US, univ professors do amazing reasearch. Most of the major breakthroughs in computer science and engineering has happened at universities). They don't earn much, and work for this passion more than money. Bill Gates created institution, really, and regardless of MS's policies, has created jobs for millions. Why? Because he wanted to make money. These things don't just happen. Sachin tendulkar has records because he wanted them, his claims to the contrary notwithstanding.
