I would like to express my sincere disgust at rankings year on year which ultimately serve no purpose except to lure gullible victims into the trap of these ratings. ( Just because it happens in the US does not make it a more valid reason). Institutions are not built by magazines or media or websites. STOP THIS EXCERCISE FOR HEAVENS SAKE. The credibility of media houses and individuals as well as the processes doing these ratings are largely suspect.And so that everyone gets a piece in the pie there are ratings like very best , university, sectoral, government.( Huh is the university not of the government). I salute the Indian students and corporate for not falling a victim to these ratings. Tomorrow you cannot tarnish a St. Stephens or an IIT ( any one ) and say its not the best or not include SP Jain and FMS,Delhi amongst the best and have people believe you. Please stop treating institutes built with centuries of lineage as rankings on TVS Sargema or Star Ki Khoj.
