Irony in Humor
by Nitin Dutt on Nov 27, 2007 04:13 PM

Gone are the days of simple banking b'cos if it comes back you will not survive. True, ppl used to deal with simple banks but then and now the business has multiplied by several times. Its like cell phones you do not want them yet you cannot live without them. We are not limited to one city like our forefathers imagine the plight of an engineer who is travelling to several cities or states in a month as a part of his job. How will he bank if he has to do it with the help of the PSU banks which do not have any internet access.
Th elife is not easy opening an account even if it is an simple savings account but then they are just following the RBI guidelines. the info they want is mandatory. Ofcouse they do have some interest in it also as they are private banks and someone wants to earn some money. How do you get interest on the amount parked in your savings account more then you get in PSU. No one wants to look at that. Good thing is that teh physical contact with the bankers is minimal if you train yourself propely handling your account.
i have an savings account with ICICI bank for last 4 years and I'm one hapy customer of theirs. i'm using an credit card also and have absolutely no problems in that also.
ppl might have experienced some problems but then they are everywhere.
