Nice to see your article. Exactly this is what has happened to me. I had received an offer from a local company in Dec 06. I took the offer letter and submitted my resignation from my present company. The package is normal but reasonable.
In the meantime i received an exciting offer from company B which is an MNC. The package is unbelievable.
I went to company A, spoke to them and conveyed my decision of not joining them
And i joined Company B and i am right now with them.
It might look unprofessional. But if i had accepted company A, it would have takne 2or3 years to reach the current salary level of company B.
Career decisions also has got an impact on your family life.
Company A can get similar candidates like me, but opportunities in a MNC may come but not so frequently.
