(Perhaps being a Canadian, you suffer an identity crisis - not quite lucky or smart enough to be in America, and confused about being of British or French heritage !!)
As for CONNEXION, you made up a fact that it is British. CONNEXION was first used as an Internet Access Service brand name by Boeing - the last time I checked, it was an American company.
