I think if children becomes victims, then it is wrong. But I also think it is good to disciplne our children when it is neccessary. it deos not mean one need to hit or beat a child with anger and cruelty. My father used to beat whenever I did nauty in my chilhood, I sill remember, after which he used to take me out and buy some thng I like and then explain to me why did he disciplined. Now when I look back I do not think it hurted me so much. and I think they help me to become good citizen of India. Western countries like America controlled over so much on individualism, where it may work out and where they even seperate little kid and allow them grow alone. I think in estern culture, especially India will not work out such system becuase we value in our family bindings and believe in discipline each other and so forth. At the same time, if any parents deliberately abusing a child must consider it. But such rules like if any parents spank a child should get punishment not relevant and not easy put in paractice.
