On Father's Day, I quote a poem I wrote some time back:
I recall my mother say, "Pita dharma, pita swarga, pitari param tapah". Father is the religion, your philosophy, your way of life; father is the heaven: the guardian angel, and treasure house of your soulful meditation: "In one word", mother's voice quivered, "God, in flesh and blood".
