This is what u feel

%u201COh God! I am stressed!, %u201CNo time to look for other work%u201D, %u201CMeeting today is impossible for me%u201D, %u201CWe can meet at the end of the month%u201D, %u201CI will die if I work for 2 hours after office%u201D, and so on%u2026%u2026.

These words are not from any film or play, nut from our very own office colleagues and the over all working class in India.

Have you thought about the impact of the increasing office work on our health and also on out family life? Why do we tend to run after money at the cost of our health and family life? The answer to all these questions lie, probably, in the present structure of our employment and mindset of the working class.

Today, the working class leaves for office at around 8.00am (average). Before leaving it has to complete the household work. So, it wakes up at 5.00am everyday. It the reaches office at 10.00am. It works until 7.30pm everyday. Leaves office for home and reaches by 9.00pm. Now its very much exhausted. Again household work, Dinner and it goes to bed at 11.00pm. Again the same story continues the next day. So here, it gets hardly 7 hours of sleep.

Now, you must have realized that there is hardly anytime left with the working class for itself, parents, children, etc.

So what has the working class gained? Only few bucks of money? Can the money but for them the time they deserve for themselves and other activities?

The only way out of this tedious and ruining routine is, to have a Re-
