Constitutionally, some economically weak sections of the caste categories were given job reservations which could probably be partially or little implemented. Now the governments want to implement this guarantee given to them which are being strongly opposed by other sections, say forward category of people.
Centuries old caste barrier has to be erased from the society and well being of each and every weak section is a necessary criteria.
Simply because the reservation is guaranteed in the constitution should not be helpful to alleviate the grievances of such weak people, as this is now half a century old vision.
A duration of 20 to 25 years (i.e. one generation) should be fixed for this purpose. The government must give free and fair education to all such SC and SC and in deserving cases to OBC and/or the so called forward castes. Whatever expenses are needed must be earmarked in the budget. The education should be in such a way that when one completes his education, he/she must be able to compete in the open category. Free compulsory education is over for one generation, the freeness should be stopped and that person must not get any form of reservation for job. No Indian should be asked to privide his/her caste till one gets a job. By this way the reservation system can be eliminated and all will be capable of competing in the open category.
