so..what is wrong with having reservations based on economic need rather than religion? the elite sc/st who obviously no longer need it won't get it. isn't the whole point of reservation?.. uplifting the downtrodden..won't ecocnomic need based reservations solve that in one shot... but that will never happen as politically there is no upside to that approach.
