No more reservations based on Caste
by Divakar Bhavaraju on Jun 05, 2007 01:37 AM

Independent India did a historical blunder in introducing reservation system. Now it has become perpetual and lost direction, purpose and goal. Whom the reservation policy is helping. Not the common indian. If the reservation policy is implemented for which it was sphereheaded by Dr.Ambedkar, today so called deprived class indians would have been below poverty line. It is cornered by a few and hijacked for political reasons. Please look at the state of affairs in India today. Many families in all castes are Below Poverty Line(BPL). To uplift them introduce reservation policy based on economical status. All economically backward/depressed families should and would benifit. That will ensure real democracy and kill caste based politics and attrocities on so called weaker section. India needs a bold and imaginative policy to benifit those who deserve help and upliftment to make uniform and equaldistribution of wealth to all Indians. Jaihind
