Check for https:// (and not http://) on the webpage address where you're about to key in your credit card number. The 's' at the end of 'http' denotes that the website is secure. If there is no 's' then the website is not secure. You will also see a "lock" icon in the bottom bar of your browser whenever the website is secure.
