SEXUAL HARASSMENT IN COLLEGE
by DrKumarChatterjea on Dec 20, 2007 03:38 PM

I did not carry out any bench marking but couple of years back carried out a study with various college students in india.Findings are as follows. The most aggressive students indulge in ragging comes from 1111* studied in noncoed school(only boyes))2222* does not have young sister/s 3333* Disturbed family life due to quarrel in the family 4444* Easy life style from affluent parentage . 5555 Broken home 666* long suffering meek life style during school days.
To reduce ragging the out going students should be exposed to clinacal Psychologist attending regular classes for at least one year before leaving the school. Parents in home must make their sons understand the prestige of their family,, Girls joining college should not unnecessarily brand a male student as "BAD & Bully" & avoiding their company. Friendly terms should be established soon joining the college, In case matters go out of control the condition must be reported to college union secretery , Educaton head and also bring it to parents notice.
