I have a Masters in Mechanical but my core specialization was Noise and Vibration. The courses that I took made me industry ready in the two years of study. It helped a lot in securing a job and also made it easier when I started working as I had used most of the techniques previously. I would have never been able to learn the practical aspects if I had got an advanced degree in India. But one mustbe careful in choosing a university as you should take the courses that interest you and will get you a job that you like and enjoy not a job that makes mroe money.
