I will call it "Its not a Bad Idea". I dated to my colleague for one year before marrying. We both were in the same department of an MNC. We worked together for an year on the same projects and that was the time when we have realised that we both can go along together. After proposing to each other we took another one year to get married. I think thats gave us a lot of time to understand each other well , as we used to spend a quality time together. But offcourse nobody in the company was knowing about our affair untill we declared it after fixing the marriage date. We ourselves have decided that we will not work together after marriage in the same dept, as some or other time you will be forced to do some favor to your spouse which may or may not be liked by others. Since our bosses were good and helpful they agreed to change the dept after the marriage. we worked in the same company for two more years after marriage and there was no problem as far as work was concern. Its becomes a problem only if anyone has to switch the job in another city and even when your bosses takes advantage of this situation during apprisal time keeping in mind that none of us will leave the company.
