I was denied F1 visa in the moth of july. The consulate officer has just checked my I- 20 and enquired about the university and denied it. I applied for the ph.d programme and I feel that the period the univ has mentioned as the deadline to submit the thesis is 7 yrs which has made them feel that I may not get back to Inida. Do I need to definitely go toa state university with enough funding toi prove my merit and financial ability?
