I am currently in us on j-1. I got my waiver and applied for change of status to f-1 before 50 days of the expiration of my j-1. Now my j-1 is gonna be over and the change of status application is still pending with uscis. So can I stay legally without being out of status until I hear yes/no from uscis on my pending application. And secondly How much time uscis takes to pass decision on change of status application. My application is at vermont service center.
